IT IS COMPLETED
So I started this a little bit ago when I saw that dA was hosting this, because srsly gaiz, if you don't know I'm bisexual by now, then YOU ARE WAY BEHIND THE TIMES LOL
Pride is a month I hold dear, especially since long before my parent's accepted me, they originally wanted to 'fix me'. They have, of course, now come to terms and love and accept me as I am, but none the less...the beginning years (probably up until about 22) were tough.
So celebrating this is very important to me.
And who better to use to take part in this than my fave oc, Char? I honestly feel like he is the embodiment of myself, so he really suited this piece.
That and his sexuality helps a ton, too ;>

The color I chose to go with was, of course, purple. 
I love purple. Purple is my fave color. But also it's representation is a big play in my choice, which is Spirit.

Spirit day was one thing I adored in high school (and I promise you, it wasn't the typical 'SCHOOL SPIRIT' day. It was part of representing Pride before the summer season hit), and it just brings back so many fond memories seeing this color, and seeing it being represented in such a way.
To me, Spirit is freedom. Being who you are, being able to go out and be you with no holds barred.
That's why I decided to draw Char on his motorcycle for this piece. He feels free the most when on his bike...he feels himself when he lets his tattoo's and scars show. 
He is at peace.

She helped me continue on. 
Honestly, I've only drawn a motorcycle once, and it was very smol (on a case piece for which you can see in my gallery), so I wanted to give up many times during this process because of how difficult machinery is for me to draw. (I used like 10 different references for this thing is2g it was so hard)
But she cheered me on. And her support ended up pumping out this amazing piece that I am SO proud of.
